4. Subscription Terms
4.1 Free Tier
IHAB offers a free tier that includes unlimited recurring expense tracking, debt-to-income ratio calculations, monthly budget view, and GDPR data export. The free tier is available indefinitely at no cost.
4.2 Free Trial
New users receive a 14-day free trial of premium features. No credit card is required to start the trial. When the trial ends, your account reverts to the free tier. You will not be charged unless you explicitly subscribe.
4.3 Premium Subscription
Premium features are available on a subscription basis at the following rates:
- Monthly: $5 per month
- Annual: $40 per year (equivalent to ~$3.33/month)
Premium features include: unlimited expense items, scheduled set-asides (goals and non-monthly expenses), cash flow projections, Sequence.io integration, and API access.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect on their account.
4.4 Billing
All payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan). Your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and may retry the charge. If payment remains unsuccessful, your premium access may be suspended until the payment issue is resolved.
4.5 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through Settings > Manage Billing in the app, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation:
- Your premium access continues through the end of the current billing period
- Your account reverts to the free tier when the billing period ends
- Your financial data is preserved and remains accessible under free-tier limits
4.6 Refunds
We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refund requests for exceptional circumstances may be directed to support@ihab.io.
5. Data Handling
Your financial data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and encrypted at rest. We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard protections, including:
- API keys hashed with SHA-256 (never stored in plaintext)
- Plaid tokens encrypted with AES-256-GCM
- Firestore security rules that restrict access to your own data
For full details on how we collect, store, and use your data, please review our Privacy Policy.
You may export all of your data in JSON format or delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings page. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with the following third-party providers. Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms:
- Stripe (terms) -- Processes all subscription payments. We never see or store your full credit card number.
- Sequence.io (website) -- Optional integration for automated money movement. When enabled, IHAB sends transfer amounts to Sequence. IHAB does not initiate or control the actual movement of funds. Sequence operates under its own terms and regulatory obligations.
- Google Cloud / Firebase (terms) -- Provides authentication (Google SSO), database (Firestore), and hosting infrastructure.
- Plaid (terms) -- Optional bank account linking (currently backend-only; not yet available in the user interface).
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.
